Accessibility-Focused Artificial Intelligence Work for Disabled People Carried Out

Accessibility-focused work to support the equal and sustainable participation of disabled people in university life has been carried out within the Ondokuz Mayıs University Distance Education Centre. As part of this, in line with the work of the Disabled People's Accessibility Commission, accessibility measurements were taken inside the buildings and texts were prepared on artificial-intelligence-assisted wayfinding and access scenarios inside them.

Within this work, coordinated by the Disabled People's Accessibility Commission, field measurements were completed by UZEM Content Development staff Can Murat Demir and İlker Müftüoğlu, and content for the artificial intelligence scenarios that aim to make it easier for disabled people to orient themselves in a space was created from the data obtained. This work, carried out under the coordination of the Distance Education Centre, made an accessibility-based contribution to the university's digital transformation.
